pgcc but I am just using the RH .rpm for apache.

But you could remove the %{}e option form 
the documentation. ;-)

The QUERY_STRING envariable -- and others like PATH_INFO --
is only defined for use by CGI scripts and SSI-processed
files.  Nothing says they're available for logging as well.
Are you requesting that they be made available?
