I tried with [servlet name].initargs --> It didn't work, then I tried with [servlet name].initArgs --> It worked. It is trial and error to try with different name. File name are case sensitive in unix/solaris so please change your documentation.

I believe you should be reporting this problem to
Oracle, since the Apache HTTP Server does not
ship with a java application server.  The documentation
that you are referring to is not controlled from here.
