Using the example in the httpd.conf file for alias get message File does not exist. It appears from error message that icons is being appended to the DocumentRoot instead of overriding it. 

After starting Apache on my workstation I then can enter localhost name and receive page. Then when a append the Alias name, get error log message that  shows file does not exist.
