I'm using the latest version of apache, 1.3.22, the executable version. My version of windows is 4.10.1998 (windows 98 se). Behind a linksys router with port 80 forwarding set to this IP.

Whenever someone tries to connect to my apache server, i get that standard "illegal operation" window and it says the fault is in apachecore.dll. Any help would be appreciated.

modules [esp third party modules, would you have loaded?

  "i just did the normal install, no modifications or extra features"

which accounts for the fact that this machine appears to
be somewhat or somehow corrupted, if this is in fact a 
stock install.  Without further specific details, we can't
really help troubleshoot individual machine misconfigs.
